This reading of six poets, including myself, Ellen Taylor, Pamela Burr Smith, Gary Lawless, Stephen Petroff, and Terry Grasse, will take place as a complement to a show by painter Leonard Meiselman, called "A Protest Artist on Monhegan - Art and the Dying Off of Trees." The art show, featuring paintings of trees inspired by a reverence for life and anguish at its passing, will open January 9.
