a pair of eagles

— ground swell
the lighthouse beam
sweeps the spruces . . .
twilight flight calls
twilight moon
the lighthouse beacon turns on
the dark

island twilight
lighthouse beacon brightens
every fifteen seconds
island lighthouse
in every direction
sun shining on sea
shining
in the day’s last light
lightkeeper’s house
